The expert researchers working on the project will seek to learn from the ground up what people in the small Southern Italian village of Raviscanina believe about health, and how their lifestyle and social culture promotes well being and longevity. Of particular interest to the team will be spotting evolving trends may be detracting from the health of the village or its individual inhabitants. Once the team has found answers to these questions, it will dig deeper to investigate the specifics of what they have found to identify the issues are that are affecting the community. Ultimately, the goal of the foundation is to find ways to help these healthy village communities like Raviscanina to stay intact. Many young people these days are leaving their villages to find employment. The Una Vita foundation is looking to help these young people find opportunities without having to leave their homes and traditions behind.
